Abstract

  • In June 2020, the City of Jambi and the City of Muara Bungo experienced inflation, respectively by 0.35 percent and 0.24 percent. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) of Jambi City was 103.96 and Muara Bungo City was 104.55.
  • Inflation in the city of Jambi occurred in 3 (three) expenditure groups. Whereas in Muara Bungo City, inflation occurred in 7 (seven) groups of goods and services expenditure due to an increase in index.
  • The inflation rate for calendar year 1 and "year on year" 2 Jambi City this month amounted to 0.88 percent and 0.55 percent, respectively. While the rate of inflation in the calendar year and "year on year" of Muara Bungo City were 0.98 percent and -0.22 percent in June 2020.
  • Of the 24 cities in Sumatra that calculate CPI, 16 (sixteen) cities experienced inflation and 8 (eight) cities deflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Tembilahan City by 1.13 percent and the lowest occurred in Bandar Lampung City by 0.03 percent.
  • Of the 90 cities that calculate CPI in Indonesia, 76 (seventy six) cities experienced inflation and 14 (fourteen) cities deflation. The highest inflation occurred in Kendari City of 1.33 percent and the lowest of 0.01 percent occurred in Makassar City.
