Abstract

The economy of Jambi Province based on the amount of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on current prices in the second quarter of 2020 reached Rp 48.80 trillion and at the base of constant prices in 2010 reached Rp 36.41 trillion.

Jambi Province economy in the second quarter of 2020 contracted 1.72 percent (y-on-y). In terms of production, the Transportation and Warehousing business sector contracted the most by 27.75 percent. On the expenditure side, household consumption expenditure also contracted to 4.25 percent.

Jambi Province economy in the second quarter of 2020 contracted by 1.41 percent (q-to-q). In terms of production, the Transportation and Warehousing business field also experienced the deepest contraction, 21.72 percent. While from the expenditure side, the deepest contraction was experienced by the Export of Goods and Services component up to 10.45 percent.

The economy of Jambi Province in the second quarter of 2020 (c-to-c) grew 0.05 percent. From the production side, growth was driven by most business sectors, with the highest growth coming from Information and Communication of 14.10 percent. Meanwhile, in terms of expenditure, it was mainly driven by the Household Consumption Expenditure Component which grew by 0.25 percent.

The economic structure of Jambi Province in the second quarter of 2020 was dominated by Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries which contributed the most to the GRDP, which amounted to 30.98 percent. While on the expenditure side, the GRDP is widely used for the Household Consumption Expenditure Component of 47.14 percent.
