Abstract

In December 2019 Jambi City experienced inflation of 0.81 percent and Muara Bungo inflation of 0.74 percent. Jambi City Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 103.89 and Muara Bungo City Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded 104.30.
Inflation in the city of Jambi occurred in 7 (seven) expenditure groups. While inflation in Muara Bungo City occurred in 9 (nine) groups of goods and services expenditure due to an increase in index.
The inflation rate for calendar year 1 and "year on year" 2 Jambi City this month amounted to 0.81 percent and 2.40 percent, respectively. While the inflation rate of the calendar year and "year on year" Kota Muara Bungo this month was 0.74 percent and 2.76 percent, respectively.
Of the 24 cities in Sumatra that calculate CPI, all experience inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Meulaboh City by 1.44 percent and the lowest occurred in Lhokseumawe City by 0.08 percent. Of the 90 cities that calculate CPI in Indonesia, 79 (seventy nine) cities experience inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Meulaboh by 1.44 percent and the lowest in Gorontalo City by 0.03 percent.
