Abstract

In December 2020, Jambi City experienced inflation of 0.72 percent and Kota Muara Bungo with inflation of 0.56 percent. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Jambi City was 106.23 and the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Muara Bungo City was recorded at 105.94.
Inflation in Jambi City occurred in 5 (five) expenditure groups. Meanwhile, inflation in Muara Bungo City occurred in 6 (six) groups of goods and services expenditures due to an increase in the index.
The inflation rate for calendar year1 and year on year 2 for Jambi City this month is the same, namely at 3.09 percent. Meanwhile, the inflation rate for calendar year and “year on year” for Muara Bungo City this month is the same, which is 2.32 percent.
Of the 24 cities in Sumatra that calculated the CPI, all cities in Sumatra experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Gunungsitoli City at 1.87 percent and the lowest in Bengkulu City at 0.14 percent. Of the 90 cities that calculated the CPI in Indonesia, 87 (eighty seven) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation occurred in Gunungsitoli City at 1.87 percent and the lowest at 0.05 percent occurred in Tanjung Selor City.
