Abstract

Farmers' Exchange Rate (NTP) in Jambi Province in August 2018 was 98.05 or up 0.59 percent compared to the previous month's NTP. The increase in NTP was due to the Farmer Accepted Price Index (It) which rose by 0.35 percent while the Farmer's Paid Price Index (Ib) fell by 0.24 percent. In August 2018, the NTP of Jambi Province for each sub-sector was recorded at 97.48 for the Food Crops Sub-sector (NTPP); 90.64 for the Horticulture subsector (NTPH); 99.05 for the People's Plantation Plant sub-sector (NTPR); 101.79 for the Livestock Sub-sector (NTPT) and 103.94 for the Fisheries Sub-sector (NTNP) which consisted of 112.02 Captured Fisheries (NTN) and 95.24 Aquaculture Fisheries (NTPi). Rural deflation in Jambi Province was recorded at 0.38 percent. Deflation occurred in two household consumption groups namely the Foodstuffs group and the Education, Recreation and Sports group. While inflation occurs in five household consumption groups, namely the group of processed foods, cigarettes and tobacco; Housing group; clothing group; Health group and Transportation and Communication group. Jambi Province Agriculture Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in August 2018 was 106.58 or up 0.06 percent compared to the previous month's NTUP.
