Abstract

In February 2019 the city of Jambi experienced a deflation of 0.29 percent and Kota Muara Bungo deflation of 0.20 percent. The Jambi City Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 133.50 and the Muara Bungo City Consumer Price Index (CPI) is 132.94.
Deflation in the city of Jambi occurred in 1 (one) group of goods and services due to a decrease in the index, and deflation in the city of Muara Bungo occurred in 4 (four) groups of goods and services due to a decrease in the index.
The inflation rate for the calendar year 1 of Jambi City this month was -0.80 percent, and the year-on-year inflation rate 2 was 2.13 percent. While the inflation rate for the Muara Bungo City calendar this month was 0.08 percent and the year on year inflation rate was 2.43 percent. Of the 23 cities in Sumatra that calculated CPI, 2 (two) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Sumatra occurred in Batam City by 0.26 percent and the lowest occurred in Tanjung Pinang City by 0.04 percent.
Of the 82 cities that calculated CPI in Indonesia, 13 (thirteen) cities experienced inflation. The highest inflation in Tual City was 2.98 percent and the lowest was in Kendari City by 0.03 percent.
