Abstract

In March 2020, the level of inequality in spending by Jambi residents as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.320. This figure decreased by 0.004 points when compared to the September 2019 Gini Ratio.
The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2020 was recorded at 0.351 compared to the September 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.346. While the Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2020 was recorded at 0.287, down compared to the September 2019 Gini Ratio of 0.290.
In March 2020, the distribution of population expenditure in the lowest 40 percent was 20.90 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the category of low inequality. If broken down by region, in urban areas the figure is 18.96 percent, which means it is in the category of low inequality. While for rural areas the figure was recorded at 22.50 percent, which means it was included in the category of low inequality.

In 2020, the rice harvest area is estimated at 86,233 hectares with a production of 374,376 tons of GKG. If converted into rice, rice production in 2020 is estimated to reach 215,451 tons.

May 2020, Jambi City inflation is 0.29 percent and Muara Bungo City inflation is 0.49 percent.
