Abstract

In September 2020, the level of expenditure inequality in Jambi as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.316. This figure has decreased by 0.004 points when compared to the March 2020 Gini Ratio of 0.320.
The Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2020 was recorded at 0.346, down from the Gini Ratio in March 2020 which was 0.351. while in rural areas in September 2020 it was recorded at 0.289, an increase compared to March 2020 which was 0.287.
In September 2020, the distribution of expenditure for the bottom 40 percent of the population group was 21.38 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the low level of inequality category. If broken down by region, in urban areas the figure was recorded at 19.36 percent, which means that it is in the low inequality category. Meanwhile, for rural areas the figure was 22.64 percent, which means it is also included in the low inequality category.

May 2020, Jambi City inflation is 0.29 percent and Muara Bungo City inflation is 0.49 percent.

In 2020, the rice harvest area is estimated at 86,233 hectares with a production of 374,376 tons of GKG. If converted into rice, rice production in 2020 is estimated to reach 215,451 tons.
